Holiday Food and Gift Drive for Southeastern Connecticut Children with Young Families @ The Riverfront Children's Center Tickets
Nov 1 @ 12:00 am
Holiday Food and Gift Drive for Southeastern Connecticut Children with Young Families @ The Riverfront Children's Center | Groton | Connecticut | United States

The Riverfront Children’s Center, a non-profit childcare in Groton, is preparing for our holiday food basket and gift drive for local families. This event is very important to the families who rely on the generosity of neighbors to help their children’s Christmas dreams come true.
As in the past, community contributions are essential to the success of this program. Helping families with young children experience the magic of Christmas can be very heartwarming, especially in these uncertain times when demand is high. If you are inspired to help children and families of Southeastern Connecticut, there are several ways you can help.
• Request an empty food basket for a needy family which you (and your group) will fill with non-perishable holiday foods like cranberry sauce, stuffing, canned green beans, cream soups, olives, gravy, potatoes, and the like. We will help you choose the right sized family to sponsor for your group.
• Request a children’s gift wish list so that you (and your group) can guarantee a needy child’s eyes will glow with excitement on Christmas morning. Shopping for gifts can often be completed online and delivered directly to Riverfront if given enough time.
• Provide a gift card for a department store, a grocery store, or a gas station to a struggling family to lighten their burdens at the holiday season
• Donate cash to Riverfront so that our elves can do the shopping for our families on your behalf.
