Volunteers Day @ I-Park Tickets
Sep 19 @ 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
Volunteers Day @ I-Park | | |

I-Park is seeking community-spirited outdoor enthusiasts to help enhance trail safety and aesthetics. I-Park suffered a multi-year assault by gypsy moths that left behind hundreds of dead trees and thousands of fallen limbs. The gardens are also in need of TLC. Volunteers Day will be on Saturday, September 19, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. This family-friendly event is recommended for anyone age 14 or older and will be held rain or shine.

Volunteers will hone their “happy stick” and debris-pile-maintenance skills while enjoying some quiet/zen time within I-Park’s beautiful natural setting. No technical expertise or feats of strength are required – just a willingness to roll up your sleeves and spend a few hours working alongside like-spirited art and nature lovers. I-Park will provide the tools and safety gear. Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants, hiking boots or other sturdy closed-toe shoes, and a hat – and gardeners, please bring your own gloves. In addition, participants should bring water, sunscreen, and light snacks. A complimentary luncheon will be served following the work period. Please note that no pets are allowed.

For additional information, write events@i-park.org or call 860-873-2468.
We look forward to welcoming you!

About Onward Leaders

Onward Leaders (est. 2019) is a group of forward-thinking and community-minded individuals wishing to engage with other like-minded adults while promoting CFA. The focus of Onward Leaders events is to raise awareness for the services provided by CFA and strengthen our presence within our service area.

About Onward Leaders Virtual Art Auction

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, the Onward Leaders group of CFA has made the difficult decision to cancel our annual “Putting Children First” event on September 2, 2020. As it’s now vital to limit social contact, we hope you can understand the steps we are taking to help keep our staff and attendees safe and help prevent further spread of the virus. We look forward to welcoming you all back to the beautiful Saltwater Farm Vineyard next year.

In lieu of this year’s in-person event, we will be hosting Onward Leaders Virtual Art Auction starting at 6 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. The auction will feature a number of our area’s most talented and esteemed artists. Reserve your ticket today and receive a sneak peek of the auction a week before kickoff!
